Project 14 Newsletter Dec 2021

On behalf of the entire Project 14 Global Missions team, Peggy and I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. Additionally, we want to pause to say “Thank You” for all your support this year. None of our successes would have been possible without your prayers and financial support. God has truly blessed our ministry this year. Even though travel has been restricted because of the Covid pandemic, the Lord’s work has flourished! As we end the year, I would like to give you a brief update. Please read through to the end.

Nicaragua - In Nicaragua, we have approximately 30 young men and women studying at our Bible College in Matagalpa, Global Bible University. Most will become full time pastors and Christian workers after they graduate with their four-year degree. Growth has steadily increased with our fourth graduating class holding commencement this past October.

One of our primary missions is to train nationals to plant local New Testament churches in their country. God is rewarding these efforts with 16 churches conducting weekly services with a full-time pastor in place. Despite Covid, we continue to see attendance grow. During services in early December, we had 1127 people in attendance.

Each week, approximately 35 people come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ from these 16 churches. We thank God for blessing us with abundant fruit for our labor.

We are excited to announce this month that two more churches will be started very soon. Church locations have been identified with door-to-door visitation underway. Please pray for our two new pastors who just graduated and are planning to pastor these two new churches.

St. Vincent – A severe volcano eruption occurred earlier in 2021 that has hampered the Baptist Bible College of the Caribbean. However, through the generosity of many of you, we were able to provide food, medicine and supplies for many of the churches and communities affected by the volcano. They are slowly returning to a sense of normalcy but still need your prayers.

Bolivia – Currently, we have about 75 children in the Boys and Girls homes. Additionally, we have about 25 young men in our home for what we call the ‘street boys.” Nearly all the children have accepted Christ. We are doing weekly devotions with them though Zoom.

Please pray for their continual physical and spiritual health. If you can ever schedule the time, we would love for you to visit our Bolivian Children’s homes. It would be one of the most heartfelt mission trips you will ever take.

We ALL are The Church – we are the hands and feet of Jesus-on the earth-right now-today. Jesus tells us what to do in very specific ways; feed the hungry, take care of the sick, visit prisoners, love and support orphans and widows, and share with our brothers and sisters in need. Amazingly, when we do these tangible things for others, we have done them for Jesus Himself. What an honor! What a blessing for us!

Want to change lives for Jesus today? Join us at Project 14. You can give of your time, financial resources, pray, and come visit us. There are two very specific needs that we need your help with today. The first is Christmas presents for our children in Bolivia. We need about $2,000 in additional donations to provide gifts for every child. The second, is funding for a pastor’s home in Nicaragua. Alejandro is a young pastor and was recently married. Currently, they are living with parents as they do not have a home.

In January 2022, we will be sending mission teams from the US to build them a much needed, sturdy, and safe home. We need about $5,000 in additional donations for building materials for the house. The labor is being donated from local church members and the US mission teams. You can give online at www.p14gm.org.

Can we help everyone? Not yet! But together we can reach Bolivia and Nicaragua and Puerto Rico and St. Vincent. And wherever God leads us tomorrow!

Finally, thank you again for your prayers and support. We look forward to continuing our efforts with you to take the Gospel around the world. No matter how much or how little you can give, always remember you are helping the Project 14 ministries to keep on going strong to win souls for Christ and to take care of our precious orphans. May God bless you abundantly.

We pray you have a Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year!

In His service,

Ken and Peggy McCoy
